ABSTRACT
The safety of freight weighbridge operations is crucial in transportation and logistics, ensuring a balance between shipping efficiency and highway safety. Issues like load weight manipulation, inadequate facilities, and inconsistent weighing procedures pose risks to drivers and other road users. These problems also lead to economic losses from road repair costs and reduced infrastructure lifespan. This study seeks to reduce work accidents by implementing Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control methods. The analysis identified three hazard levels based on severity, exposure, and likelihood. Findings revealed that 20% of potential hazards carry substantial risk, 60% fall under priority 3 risk, and 10% are within acceptable risk levels. To enhance safety at UPPKB Cekik, recommendations include ensuring daily functionality of lights and regular cleaning of signs, aiming to improve overall work safety and protect workers.
