ABSTRACT

Effectiveness and efficiency of road performance refer to how well the road accommodates traffic volume. The aim of this research is to examine MKJI 1997 and PKJI 2023 in calculating urban road sections and compare the results with method surveys. The results obtained differences in capacity and free flow speed. Due to base capacity, the basic free-flow speed multiplier and the side resistance adjustment values are different. It also has an impact on speed values (Vlv/Vmp) and degree of saturation (Ds/Dj). The difference in results of the basic free flow speed multiplier and the side resistance adjustment factor values has an impact on the speed value (Fv/Vb). Validity test of Vlv and Vmp using a t-test (alpha 5%) on the results of calculating the VS speed. Results (p-value > 0.05) showed no significant difference in the determination of the average speed using a comparison graph of the degree saturation with the free flow velocity.
