ABSTRACT
Electric vehicles are a solution for dealing with global climate change and reducing vehicle emissions. The Indonesian government encourages the use of electric vehicles to reduce air pollution. However, the use of electric vehicles is still lacking in terms of safety, especially battery temperature, which can cause overheating due to heat, even causing fires and explosions, which could endanger the driver. Therefore, in this study, we simulated the TMP36 sensor as a battery temperature detector, buzzer, and LED. The research methodology was initiated by searching for literature, conducting concept preparation, design analysis, system simulation design, and testing, providing system-forming components, making prototypes, collecting data, analyzing prototype work, and concluding. The simulation results show that the system can function properly, where when the battery temperature is still at a safe limit, it is indicated by a green LED; when the battery has entered a hot temperature, the yellow LED will light up with a blink, and the red led with a flash and a buzzer that lights up indicates that the temperature the battery has exceeded the temperature safe limit on the battery. With a warning that has been designed, the driver can take the right steps when the warning is on.
