ABSTRACT
The high number of tourists visiting Bali is directly proportional to the movement of people in the areas that serve as tourist centers, one of which is the North Kuta area. This often leads to traffic congestion at the intersections. Therefore, proper traffic management, such as signal timing optimization. This research was conducted at the Taman Sari intersection using PTV Vissim software to model and optimize signal timing. The study used traffic volume, queue length, vehicle speed, and road geometry data. After modeling and optimization, there was a decrease in queue length and delays at three arms of the intersection. The northbound arm experienced an 8% reduction in delays and an 18% reduction in queue length. The southbound arm experienced an 8% reduction in delays and a 2% reduction in queue length. The westbound arm experienced a 7% reduction in delays and a 1% reduction in queue length. However, there was an increase in delays and queue length at the eastbound arm.
