ABSTRACT

Cipinang Train Depot is the largest train depot in Indonesia, and it has a reasonably busy maintenance schedule. The maintenance of facilities has the potential to cause hazards and risks. This is evidenced by the work accident that occurred in the period 2023. This study aims to analyze the risk of work accidents in the monthly maintenance of trains at Cipinang Train Depot. A descriptive qualitative analysis using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method is used. This research step refers to 4 stages: job selection, determining job steps, identifying and analyzing hazards, and determining controls. Based on the research results, 15 potential hazards and risks were obtained from 6 monthly train maintenance activities. The risk levels obtained are two extreme, two high, eight medium, and three low risks. Controls are carried out by substitution, engineering, administration, and personal protective equipment. This study suggests providing safety briefings, and companies must equip personal protective equipment and impose strict sanctions.
