ABSTRACT

The rapid development of the trade sector in Surakarta City has caused various problems. One of them is the limited parking facilities at Solo Paragon Lifestyle Mall due to the density of visitors. This study aims to analyze parking capacity, parking accumulation, parking volume, parking duration, turnover rate, parking index, and problem-handling strategies. Data was obtained from a survey recording the number, time, and license plate number of vehicles in and out on weekdays and weekends. The analysis results show. The parking capacity of two-wheeled vehicles is 711 SRP and four-wheeled 490 SRP. Weekends show an increase compared to weekdays. The highest accumulation of 820 two-wheeled vehicles in the 14:30-14:45 WIB period has exceeded capacity. The highest vehicle volume reached 2423 vehicles; the highest parking duration was 104.20 minutes for four-wheeled vehicles. Turnover was 3.63 (vehicles/day/space). The second highest vehicle index is 115% for two-wheeled vehicles. The handling strategies offered include increasing the standard or limitation of the maximum amount of parking, better parking supervision, and adding parking exits to unravel the queue of visitor vehicles leaving the mall.
