ABSTRACT

Transportation infrastructure plays an important role as a driving sector and lever of economic activity, ensuring connectivity inter-regions and facilitating the flow of goods effectively and efficiently. This paper explores opportunities to improve the distribution efficiency of local key commodities with export value in the central part of Aceh, namely Gayo coffee. This paper illustrates and describes the existing distribution process of the commodity of Gayo coffee, from the origin of production to the export node. There are indications of new opportunities to improve the efficiency of commodity distribution through increasing access to the transportation infrastructure.
