ABSTRACT
P12 (12 monthly) maintenance is the maintenance of diesel railroad train (KRD) facilities located at Solo Locomotive Depot. The maintenance carried out consists of maintenance of the propulsion system, electricity, air conditioner, and braking system for maintenance carried out on the braking system, namely on the tread brake component. Inspection and maintenance carried out by maintenance personnel is still done mechanically and visually by tightening nuts and bolts on the tread brake braking system. The problem obtained at the Solo Locomotive Depot is the unavailability of an air pressure gauge on the tread brake braking system which aims to facilitate facility nurses in replacing and measuring air pressure on the tread brake braking system. So a microcontroller-based air pressure gauge is made on the tread brake braking system. In the process of making an air pressure gauge on the tread brake braking system using the DFMA (Design for Manufacturing Assembly) method. The performance of the tool is done directly by testing the function of the tool. The results of the function test of the air pressure gauge on the tread brake braking system obtained the results of the microcontroller measurement of 3.2 bar which was then compared with measurements using a manometer to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results.
