ABSTRACT

Traffic Accident is an unexpected event involving a vehicle resulting in human casualties and loss of property. This study aims to determine the effect of locus of control on boredom proneness, the effect of boredom proneness on the desire to increase speed, and to determine the effect of locus of control on the desire to increase speed for Trans Metro Dewata drivers. The questionnaire is a way of collecting data that is done by giving several questions to the driver to answer. The distribution of the questionnaire was carried out online using the google form media. While locus of control and boredom proneness have a low effect on the desire to increase speed (12.7%). Based on the overall data from the SEM method, locus of control has a low effect on boredom proneness of 5%. Based on the overall data obtained from the SEM method, locus of control and boredom proneness affect the desire to increase speed by 12.70%.
