ABSTRACT

There were many factors affecting the liveability of a city, one of them was related to transportation. This current paper will compare liveability from transportation perspective in Bekasi City and South Tangerang City. We used biner, disagree (1) and agree (2) responses from the respondents. We used a one sample t-test with the value of 1.5. The test value was 1.5 to represent the departure from disagree to agree. We used 0.05 as a significant level. In most cases the respondents were agree that in terms of transportation condition, Both Bekasi City and South Tangerang City were considered to comply the requirements of liveable cities. The only deficiencies in these cities were regarding safety and security of the bicycle lane and regarding sidewalk accessibility and suitability to be used by people with disability.
