ABSTRACT

Efficient and effective logistics service performance is a manifestation of a good system running. This can be reflected in the six main driving forces that are the determining elements, namely the main commodities, logistics service players and providers, transportation infrastructure, information and communication technology, human resources, as well as regulations and institutions. This study aims to (1) determine the current performance of the national logistics system; (2) identify factors that affect the performance of logistics services; and (3) formulating strategies for improving logistics service performance within the framework of implementing the national logistics system blueprint. This study uses the Importance and Performance Analysis (IPA) technique to gain insight into the current logistics performance and the expectations/importance of logistics services in the future. The results of the study indicate that the quality criteria are considered to have the highest importance in the formation of logistics service performance, followed sequentially, namely risk, cost, delivery, information, and flexibility.
