ABSTRACT

Jember Urban, which is located in the city center, functions as a center of economic activity, government services, and an education development center that makes people carry out activities outside which will later cause congestion and affect the quality of roads. This study aims to determine the characteristics of households and travel to model the rise of the movement and distribution of travel carried out by people in urban Jember. The method used is a survey method through a questionnaire based on a Home Interview Survey (HIS). The survey data were then analyzed using descriptive statistical methods and multiple linear regression of step-by-step type 2 methods. The study produced the best rise model for the number of family trips per day which is Y = 0.259 + 0.087X1 + 0.534X2 + 0.498X3 + 0.192X5.
