ABSTRACT
In Kabupaten Boyolali motor vehicle testing, the headlight tester service is deemed inefficient due to the absence of a stop signal for vehicle drivers, resulting in additional tasks for the examiner. This study proposes a solution involving a tool that provides stop signals using a buzzer, LED light, and display text. The aim is to improve service time and determine the impact of stop distance on light intensity and deviation. The research and development (R&D) method is employed, with data collected throught performance test and time efficiency comparisons before and after using tool. Results indicate that the tool significantly reduces services time to meet standard requirments. Additionally, the study confirms that variations in stop distance affect the final test outcomes. This tool enhances operational efficiency in headlight testing by providing clear stop signals, reducing examiner workload, and ensuring timely and accurate vehicle positioning. Ultimately, it is expected to improve the accuracy and efficiency of testing, ensure that vehicles meet safety standards, and contribute to enhancing road safety
