ABSTRACT
The population growth in Banjar Regency drives increasingly high traffic activity, leading to a rise in the number of vehicles at intersections. With rapid population development, a solution is needed to improve intersection performance, ensuring safety and comfort for road users. The data utilized include vehicle speed, traffic flow, cycle time, and intersection geometry for the years 2024 and 2044, and processed using a quantitative descriptive method. This study offers a case study that can serve as a model for other regions experiencing rapid population growth, combining the PKJI 2023 methodology with PTV Vissim simulation analysis to evaluate the existing and alternative intersection performance. The research findings provide a new and more accurate perspective on how intersection performance will evolve alongside population growth.
