ABSTRACT

The old city of Semarang is one of the tourist attractions that contributes to increase the number of tourists in Semarang. This causes the area become denser and congestion problems arise. For this reason, the Semarang city government implemented a “one-way traffic system” on several roads in the old city as an effort to reduce congestion and regulate the circulation pattern of vehicle traffic movement. This study aims to evaluate the traffic performance of existing and scenario conditions with an analysis method based on PKJI 2023 which focuses on the Letjen Suprapto - Cendrawasih Intersection, Ronggowarsito Intersection, Bubakan Roundabout, and each of its approach roads. From the analysis, some road sections under scenario conditions are considered effective with a decreasing degree of saturation (DS) value. As for some intersections, it needs to be reviewed because it is considered not effective in reducing the degree of saturation (DS), especially at the Ronggowarsito Intersection and Bubakan Intersection.
