ABSTRACT

The city of Semarang is the economic lifeblood for the movement of goods and is the capital of Central Java Province. Tidal floods often occur in the northern coastal area of ​​Semarang city, especially in the Tanjung Emas Port area of ​​Semarang. Tidal floods often occur at several busy points of port activity, this can have an impact on surrounding activities such as loading and unloading activities. The purpose of this research is to understand the process of goods flow regarding the tidal flood problem that occurred at the Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang and to obtain a solution for handling the tidal flood problem to ensure the goods flow process at the Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with observation data, interviews, and is supported by several documentation. The results of the research explain that tidal flooding is one of the problems with the flow of goods at the Tanjung Emas Port in Semarang and suggestions were obtained in the form of coordinating between the port business and the government and immediately implementing the RIP that has been made.
