ABSTRACT

warehouse is a container that is used as a place to store products, whether in the form of raw materials, semi-finished goods, or finished goods. KP Rice Warehouse. ANGKAT is a warehouse used as a place for rice production and storage of goods or products in the form of rice, bran for animal feed and also used as a place for grain. This arrangement of goods in the warehouse also often causes damage to the goods, namely rot and mold. Arranging the warehouse layout aims to reduce material handling costs and increase space utilization. The class-based storage method is the method of choice for solving problems in this warehouse using ABC analysis. From the results of the discussions that have been carried out, product placement is divided into classifications, namely A for 10 kg rice, B for 50 kg packaged rice and C for bran products. For material handling, it is recommended to use a forklift whose movement is adjusted to the size of the warehouse and the size of the forklift.
