ABSTRACT

Warehousing activities in logistics require information technology to assist in the operation of the warehousing management system. At the cargo terminal of Jenderal Ahmad Yani Semarang International Airport, the Temporary Storage (TPS) system is observed to still use a manual process for the build-up and breakdown of cargo and postal checklists. This manual system results in issues like paper waste, complicated data storage, and potential data loss. To address these problems, a new system is designed using information technology. Field observation is used for data collection, and a research and development (R&D) approach with the waterfall system design method, consisting of five stages, is applied. The data input system is created using Excel VBA macros with features like userforms and tools. This system helps streamline the workflow of data storage and facilitates easier data search.
